Teen Patti Master game: learn a three-card round

To understand a Teen Patti Master game, learn the underlying three-card comparison first. The example round here uses paper points and a standard deck, so you can learn the sequence without an app, payment or account.

Set up a practice table

Use 1 deck of 52 cards without jokers. For a simple exercise, deal 3 cards each to 3 practice hands, using 9 cards in total. Keep the remaining 43 cards face down. Agree the ace-sequence and tie rules before revealing any hand.

A practice hand can represent a person or simply a position on the table. Award 1 paper point for a correct comparison, rather than staking anything of value. Shuffle before each new independent example.

The terms you will encounter

TermMeaning in a rules discussion
Boot / anteThe initial contribution in traditional table rules
BlindA player has not looked at their own cards
Seen / chaalA player has looked at their own cards
Pack / foldA player leaves the current hand
ShowA comparison that decides between remaining hands
SideshowA comparison between eligible players under house rules

Apps and house rules differ in eligibility, limits and turn controls. Learning a term does not establish how a particular app implements it. Read the rule screen before using a special variant.

A worked 3-hand comparison

HandCardsCategory
AQ♠ Q♥ 7♦Pair of queens
B8♣ 7♣ 6♣Pure sequence
CA♦ J♦ 9♦Colour

Hand B is strongest because pure sequence outranks colour and pair. Hand C comes next; its ace is relevant only after the category is established. Hand A’s pair ranks below both. The result is B → C → A, even though A contains two face cards and C contains an ace.

Now replace Hand B with 8♣ 7♦ 6♠. It becomes a mixed-suit sequence and still outranks the colour. This one-card-change exercise makes category recognition more reliable than memorising a single example.

Practise, then read the specific app rules

Use the six hand rankings to compare unfamiliar hands. Continue with the 15-minute practice routine once you can identify categories accurately. The browser exercise below provides immediate explanations.
